Listen To Your Body. I Wish I Would Have Sooner!

I’ve been holding on to this one for a while because I’m a little embarrassed that I waited so long to listen to my body. I struggled for a long time with super low energy, bloating, and constipation. I thought it was normal because everything is so normalized these days. And I thought if I just lost weight it would solve the problem. That was a big negative.

I started exercising all the time and doing programs that were a quick fix, thinking that if I just did that it would help me lose weight. Well, it helped me and then I would gain everything right back, but still had the issues. After a few years of this, I started researching more on nutrition and found a “healthier” way to fat loss. I tracked my food for a while and it led me to stressing over every little thing. Now, I believe tracking macronutrients can be very beneficial to see if you’re eating enough and there’s a time and a place for it. I’m actually really good at teaching it now. Ha! And have been certified with it, but before that it wasn’t a good thing for me because I was still focused on the weight. Know your boundaries.

I found my love for nutrition and exercise and how to balance them which led me to go to school for it. I was still on my journey at the time but still struggled with bloat, low energy, and constipation. I thought, “Man I know all about this stuff so what is going on?” I finally started working with someone that does what I do and can also run tests.

Well, I found out that I had quite a few food sensitivities and had a few things going on in my gut. I worked on that for over a year and still am working on some things. I believe it was all caused by stress. Stressing over everything and stress on my body for not treating it right.

I wanted to share this with you because I want you to know that if you feel like something is “off” with your body, it probably is. So please listen to your body.

I’m feeling a ton better, but still have some time to heal. Just know that if you want sustainable results and want to feel your best, it takes time.

Here are some pictures of me going through the process. I started working on nutrition and lifestyle changes first (which helped a ton) and then summer of 2020 had some tests run. Here’s what happened in a short amount of time.
